Mia Garcia's BIO
I help cannabis businesses get and keep licenses. As a Partner at Frantz Ward LLP, I advise operators and ancillary businesses navigating regulations and transacting in the marijuana industry.
With extensive experience in contract management in the corporate and biotechnology sectors, I negotiate complex agreements, identify legal risks, and implement effective compliance strategies. I prioritize a pragmatic and collaborative approach, and I am dedicated to aligning services with clients’ objectives.
A graduate of the University of California, Davis, and Case Western Reserve University School of Law, I have been recognized by Crain’s Cleveland Business’ list of Twenty in their 20’s, Ohio Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in 2020, 2021, and 2026, and Best Lawyers as One to Watch in 2022 and 2026. An active member of the community, I was selected to participate in the Cleveland Foundation’s ‘Foundations for Philanthropy’ and Cleveland Leadership Center’s OnBoard programs. In addition to my involvement as a hospice volunteer and medical aid-in-dying advocate, I have served as a mentor to law students and as a frequent speaker at seminars and programs. I enjoy golfing, skiing, and training my two dogs.
