Nick Risden is a midwestern cannabis grower and breeder who currently operates Lyme Rising Farms in Michigan.

Nick and his wife Shannon moved to Michigan from their home-state of Kentucky, after Nick contracted multiple tick-borne diseases which have been life-threatening at many points. Nick uses regenerative-organic growing practices, including the centuries-old “hugelkultur” and other permaculture techniques, to produce high-quality varieties bred for success in the midwestern environment.

Nick has also been a successful security-dog trainer, with an esteemed line of German Shepherds, and has spent time in advocacy advancing cannabis reform.

“Bickett OG” is one of his best-known strains, which is now widespread in home and commercial production, and he has collaborated with many high-level growers and breeders across the country.
