Jesse is a Senior Manager in the Cannabis Solutions Group of HBK CPAs and Consultants and has been with the firm since 2022. He has extensive experience in tax compliance, M&A consulting, and business succession planning in the regulated cannabis industry.

Jesse advises clients on strategies to mitigate the tax and non-tax obstacles facing cannabis cultivators, manufacturers, and retailers. Specifically, he helps traffickers mitigate and contain the impact of § 280E within siloed trafficking operations, achieve desired economic outcomes within state-imposed regulatory frameworks, and implement alternative tax strategies involving Qualified Opportunity Zones and Qualified Small Business Stock.

He frequently teaches tax courses both internally for the firm and externally for clients and the public. Jesse also teaches courses on gift and estate taxation and fiduciary income tax at Campbell University.

Jesse earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Campbell University. He earned his Master of Laws Tax, and Juris Doctor from University of Florida.

He is a member of the Florida Bar Association and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
