Glavin ID was founded in 1986 by David and Julie Glavin out of their family home. The company began as just a sales organization operating out of a 113 square foot office. We have grown to manufacture and distribute from our current home in a 72,000 square foot facility that we own in Solon, OH.

Glavin ID originally operated under the division names Glavin Specialty Company, Lake Marking Products, and First Neon Signs & Service until 2005—when all three divisions began operating as one under the Glavin Industries, Inc. name. We have also acquired the assets to a number of companies over the years and blended their operations in to the operations of our existing business. These acquisitions include: Watson Lake Engravers, Ingram and Taylor, Precision Engraving, Budget Signs, and Sign Design & Graphics Pro, and Target Screen Printing.

In 2022, Dan and Amanda Glavin became the second-generation of family owners.  In 2023, the company brand was updated to Glavin ID to better represent the current product and service offering.  Dan, Amanda, and the whole Glavin ID team strive to carry on the legacy of superior customer service and innovation that the company has become known for.
