Since 2019, Michael Reed has built a strong career in Ohio’s medical cannabis market, bringing expertise in retail operations, strategic purchasing, and new store development. He began his journey at Ethos, where he served as Operations Manager and Purchaser from 2019 to 2022 in Lebanon. In this role, Michael played a key part in shaping store operations and procurement strategies during the early growth phase of Ohio’s medical program.

In 2022, Michael joined Buckeye Relief as General Manager and Purchaser, where he was instrumental in launching their Columbus location Amplify, one of the first dispensaries in the state to feature a drive-thru—a major innovation in customer convenience and retail efficiency. His leadership from 2022 to 2024 helped establish Buckeye Relief’s Columbus site as a high-performing and patient-focused dispensary.

As of December 2024, Michael serves as Purchasing Manager for Ascend Wellness, where he oversees product procurement and vendor relationships, ensuring curated, compliant, and competitive offerings across retail locations. His comprehensive knowledge of Ohio’s cannabis regulations, patient needs, and supply chain dynamics makes him a trusted leader in the state’s evolving cannabis landscape.
