CLEVELAND, OHIO, August 21, 2023 – Nearly every facet of the cannabis industry is represented at the 2023 OCHBS conference including patient education, legalization, banking, payment processing, packaging, cultivation, hemp, CBD, investment, and career-advancing resources.

Conference attendees can expect growers, product suppliers, distributors, and ancillary businesses to showcase the most innovative and advanced products and services in the industry. Ohioans will also be able to get medical cards onsite.

New this year is an expungement clinic service that helps remove low-level cannabis convictions from public records. New workshops are added this year including one on “Mushrooms,” and one on “Colleges and Universities Going Mainstream with Plant Education.”

OCHBS brings together local, regional, and national leaders. Among this year’s speakers; is Andrew DeAngelo, a cannabis industry pioneer and global consultant, and co-founder of the Last Prisoner Project.

The event will feature panel discussions on various aspects of the cannabis industry, as well as networking opportunities, including one Friday, Oct. 6th at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum.

In 2022 medical marijuana in Ohio generated over $1.4 billion in revenue for the state. On November 7, Ohio voters will vote on legalizing recreational cannabis.

The proposed Ohio measure – pushed by the Coalition to Regulate Marijuana like Alcohol – will allow recreational use of marijuana for residents 21 and older. Medical use is currently legal in the state.

This year’s educational seminars include “Women in Cannabis,” “Marketing,” a “Patient Panel,” “Ancillary Businesses,” “Social Equity,” a “State of the Industry” panel, and “Investing in the Cannabis Industry.” The seminars are designed to educate, promote, and develop state-wide cannabis resources and networking opportunities

“It’s not easy bringing together two different audiences, but there wouldn’t be any cannabis businesses without customers, and we are playing a key role in offering attendees an opportunity to expand their cannabis knowledge through presentations from industry leaders, doctors, and those at the forefront of innovation,” said Lenny Berry, founder and director at the Ohio Cannabis Health & Business Summit.
