A cannabis industry veteran, Tomaselli will accelerate OCHBS’ efforts to elevate its annual trade show and attract a high-quality audience for meaningful networking and education.

CLEVELAND, OH / MAY 14, 2024 – Ohio Cannabis Health and Business Summit (OCHBS), the largest and longest-running annual trade show in Ohio for cannabis industry stakeholders, is pleased to announce the appointment of Cassie Tomaselli as Communications Advisor.

Drawing on her seven-plus years of expertise in cannabis media, marketing, and events, Tomaselli will work hand-in-hand with OCHBS Founder Lenny Berry to attract the public as well as local and national industry professionals for high-value networking, education, and exposition October 4-5, 2024 at the IX Center in Cleveland.

“This is a historic year for the Ohio cannabis market with adult-use sales on the horizon. We couldn’t be more thrilled that Cassie is joining the team at this pivotal moment to help us supercharge our event and showcase all the promise and opportunity there is right here in our great state to provide safe access and embark on new business opportunities,” Berry said.

Tomaselli joined the cannabis industry in 2017 as the managing editor of the award-winning trade publication Cannabis Business Times, has served as programming director for national trade show Cannabis Conference, as well as marketing director for Ohio-based, vertically integrated cannabis company Firelands Scientific. Today, she is the founder of Tomaselli Media, a boutique content marketing agency serving cannabis and purpose-driven brands. In her role at OCHBS, she will be assisting with programming, public relations, and organization and facilitation efforts for the event, which is projected to bring around 4,000 local and national attendees to Cleveland this fall.

“OCHBS has always been a special event for me personally because not only is it right in my backyard (Cleveland), but it has always had a powerful and positive energy that creates an ideal environment learning and growing within this industry,” Tomaselli said. “Ohio is poised to become the fastest-growing legal cannabis market in the U.S., and so it is an exciting time to come together to learn how we can build a robust, sustainable, ethical, and equitable industry for all.”
